release what’s holding you back

As we move through life, we absorb the stories and standards of those around us --- from the people we love to the systems we live within.

These inherited messages shape how we see ourselves, how we relate, and what we believe is possible for our lives.

We’re taught who we should be, how we should behave, what’s acceptable and what’s shameful, what defines success, strength, and fulfillment. But over time, these outside definitions can feel limiting, stifling, and even suffocating.

We are also deeply affected by what happens to us — the experiences that shape our viewpoints and values. We carry these experiences with us, too, often ignoring their influence on our everyday lives until something major happens, and we can no longer avoid our pain.

You might find yourself feeling unfulfilled, disconnected, or uncertain about why things feel so forced or heavy. Maybe life feels performative — like you’re going through the motions without fully recognizing yourself in the process.

These external obligations and outdated patterns can leave you feeling weary and worn down, or restless, anxious, irritable, and stuck. They create internal friction — like emotional and energetic residue that’s never been fully processed. The system gets overwhelmed. Just like the body struggles to digest what it can’t metabolize, your nervous system holds onto unprocessed stories, stress, and emotions.

But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

This work is an invitation to loosen the grip, to return to authenticity, and reclaim all the parts of yourself in a way that feels grounded, spacious, and true.

My Invitation To You

I assure you that there is lightness, safety, and love on the other side of what you’re facing. This light already exists within you and around you. I invite you to choose a new way forward — one that makes room for your whole self and allows you to drop the weight you’ve been holding onto for far too long. A way forward where your wholeness isn’t our goal; it’s our starting point.

You don’t need to be fixed or changed to be worthy of care. You already belong, exactly as you are — with your strength and your tenderness, your questions and your courage.

If you’re ready to begin, I’m here to walk beside you. I invite you to break open, to resist the pull to shrink, hide, or harden.

Reclaim the “you” you’re meant to be

Alissa Kammerling, Colorado Somatic Therapist

I’m Alissa Kammerling, a transpersonal somatic therapist based in Golden, Colorado. I am here to help you navigate life’s twists and turns with honesty, compassion, curiosity, and levity. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University, with a focus on Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling. I’m also an LPCC, which simply means that I’ve invested years of education and clinical experience so I can better support you on your path to healing, peace, and self-discovery.

In my practice, I offer three main pathways for our work together: Psychotherapy, Shamanic Ministries, and Somatic Guiding for non-Colorado residents. Each of these offerings is grounded in a body-mind-spirit approach, helping you reconnect to yourself in a way that feels authentic and empowering. Whether we’re exploring patterns in psychotherapy, deepening body awareness through somatic guiding, or working with the spiritual aspects of your ceremony, we’ll move at a pace that is right for you.

Above all, I’m here to listen and make sure you feel fully seen and supported — no part of you left out. My approach is about creating space for every piece of your story, whether it’s messy, painful, or still unprocessed. You don’t have to filter yourself here. All of you is welcome.

In our sessions, we’ll work together to gently uncover and release stored energy, limiting beliefs, and long-held patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach is somatic; meaning we follow the wisdom of the body and allow it to guide the pace and direction of our work. We’ll explore foundational lifestyle shifts — like nourishing your body through food, rest, and movement — to support more balance, harmony, and flow in your daily life.

As emotional material arises, we’ll create space to be with it fully.

We won’t rush and we don’t fix. Instead, we witness and work through the emotions, together. Our work may also include reconnecting to a sense of spirit, higher guidance, or something greater than the self — whatever that looks like for you. This connection will never be forced or defined for you, only offered as a source of strength, healing, and meaning.

My goal is to support you in coming home to yourself — to the inner steadiness, clarity, and connection that has always been yours.

Move beyond your pain and into your power

Helping you return to your truest self

Finding the right professional support can be stressful, especially when you may already be overwhelmed. Knowing this, I aim to make our connection easier.

To begin, simply schedule a free consultation call. We’ll get to know each other and have the opportunity to ask questions. You can tell me about your current and ongoing challenges, and I can shed light on my process, as well as what sessions and outcomes typically look like. We can discuss sticking points, strategies, and specifics, and decide together if we want to move forward.

Please know that ultimately:

⬩ You deserve safe, non-judgmental support.

⬩ You deserve to be understood, accepted, and held.

⬩ You deserve to walk this Earth and know your worth.

And that finding the right support for you and your healing is what matters most.
